Sam recently traveled to Shanghai to receive the 2013 Sanofi-Cell Research ‘Outstanding Review Article Award’ for her review, “A blueprint for engineering cell fate: current technologies to reprogram cell identity”, co-authored with Dr. George Daley. Sam also spoke in a mini-symposium for the event. Also in attendance as awardees were Dr. Jiahuai Han, speaking about his work on programmed necrosis, and Dr. Rudolf Jaenisch, speaking about his modified version of the CRISPR/Cas9 system.
